Streszczenie:
Za organizacją centralnej sterylizatorni (CS) w strukturach szpitala przemawia fakt, iż wszystkie oddziały zabiegowe – w tym blok operacyjny – wykorzystują dużą ilość sterylnego sprzętu. Odpowiednie zlokalizowanie sterylizatorni skraca czas transportu narzędzi, a dzięki połączeniu działów za pomocą wind proces ten może odbywać się bezobsługowo.

Abstract:
One of the facts that justifies having an on-site central sterilization (CS) department is that all surgical wards and operating theaters consume a large amount of sterile equipment. Proper location of the central sterilization department reduces the time needed to transport surgical instruments and if there is straight connection of this department with the operating theater by lifts, the whole process can be fully automated.
