Streszczenie:
Badania przeprowadzone w ostatnich latach wykazały rolę patogennych adherentno-inwazyjnych szczepów Escherichia coli (AIEC) w indukcji sekrecji TNF-α oraz ich zdolność adhezji do cząstek powierzchniowych CEACAM6 na komórkach nabłonka jelita człowieka. Wzrost sekrecji TNF-α indukuje z kolei zwiększoną ekspresję cząstek adhezyjnych CEACAM6, co nasila adhezję pałeczek AIEC. Bardzo ważne jest wyjaśnienie roli w procesie adhezji do nabłonka jelita człowieka fimbrii typu 1, dzięki którym szczepy AIEC wchodzą w interakcję z cząstkami CEACAM6.

Abstract:
Recent studies have demonstrated the role of pathogenic Escherichia coli – adherent-invasive strains (AIEC) in the induction of TNF-α secretion and their ability to adhere to CEACAM6 molecules on the surface of human intestinal epithelial cells. The increase of TNF-α production induces the expression of CEACAM6, which increases the adhesion of the AIEC bacteria. It is very important to clarify the role of type 1 fimbriae in the process of adhesion to the epithelium of the human intestinal cells, which is linked to the interaction between the AIEC and CEACAM6 molecules.
